The national health system favoring Health Technological Assessment (HTA) to support policy decision-making processes is a crucial step towards evidence-informed health policy in Vietnam. However, the implementation of HTA to the Vietnamese health policies is rather a new concept. Health cost data, in particular, is a crucial element of any health economic evaluations on aspects of either cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, cost-minimization, and so on. Therefore, due to its importance to support HTA, and the fact that there is no central cost database of health services in Vietnam, our research team have been developing and updating a systematic collection of other researched unit costs as a starting point to serve this matter.
- To systematically review and report findings from scientific publications on health-related costs in Vietnam
- To develop the first health cost database for Viet Nam and have a visualised version of this database online
